Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all - the apathy of human beings.

Brent has extensive experience as a member of corporate staff, ranging from line management to executive experience. He has led cross-functional teams including customer service staff, engineers, and both internal and external salespeople. Hands-on executive experience includes four years as Vice President for Customer Development with a medium sized contract-manufacturing company. Principal industries have included high technology, medical equipment, utility infrastructure, and telecom.
With Able Leadership he has created a business coaching firm that focuses on the business. With engagements ranging from the whole company to individual leaders he uses a wide variety of tools for individual and organizational assessment and development planning. His focus is to create customers who are reinvigorated and excited about the next steps for their business. This may take shape in the form of helping a business owner re-commit to the vision that got them in business in the first place, or it may look like helping an individual leader learn the path to more effective leadership.
He has a MBA from the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University and a BS in International Economics from Macalester College. He has studied Leadership Development processes at the Center for Creative Leadership™, Type Resources™ and Leadership Performance Systems™. He has served on a wide variety of boards including privately held companies and non-profit entities. He is certified to administer and interpret industry leading, research-based, management 360° assessments, personality profiles, and individual value and motivation assessments.
